Crossfit Zone
Now while I can’t take 100% of the credit for her business success, I can probably take a large portion of the credit. Her site now gets on average well over 10,000 hits per month. Her business is focussed locally here in Victoria so the exciting part of those numbers are that of that 10,000 visitors, 7000 of them are from local visitors. The fact that we can attribute 70% of the site’s traffic to the targeted local market is fantastic.
One of the main things that we did to get the website and business on the map was to get the site ranked #1 in Google for the phrase “Crossfit Victoria”, as well we worked to have Crossfit Zone’s Google Local Business account set up for the best chances of being ranked first in the local results.
We took advantage of this whole “Social Media” thing early, well before everyone and their dog touted the title “Social Media Goo Roo.” Due to this first mover advantage we were able to set a solid foundation with a Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube account. In the early days, it was questionble as to why we did this, but the as the social community grew over the last few years, so did Crossfit Zone’s precense, and subsequaintly so did the number of memberships.
The great part about investing in the social aspect of marketing was that most members that signed up had a socially driven view point of their health and fitness lifestyle which led to a strong community within the gym. This strong community not only encouraged people to refer friends but lead to a strong membership retention rate.
I meet with the Crossfit team on a monthly basis to continually review the gyms goals and how we can use the web to meet those goals. The wonderful world of web promotion changes continually, and because of this consistant review Crossfit Zone is able to stay ahead of their competition and be THE Crossfit gym in Victoria
