It’s Not as Bad as ‘Sharing the Bowl’ but as a WP Designer I Guess its Bad

I am in the process of developing my skills as a WordPress Designer/Developer and I have a theme installed that was created by someone else.

Why would I do that?

Well for the starters I am an extremely self critical artist.  I started to create a customs theme for my site, but everytime I logged in to create a post, or tweak the site in some way I would spend hours revamping the site.  I started a new redesign of the site 4 times.  I find that if I have someone else’s design I will not feel the need to nit-pick the design.

The second reason why I didn’t use my own design is that I wanted to purhcase this theme (BLack Aperture) that was created by a fantastic WP Designer, Matt Brett so that I could take it apart and find some new and interesting ways to create and theme and add some functionality.

Perhaps one day when I have become less critical of my design skills I will finally place my own creation on my blog.
